Job Description:

Do you have Accounting experience?Position: Accounting AssistantLocation: FremontPay: $18.00Hours: Monday - Friday 8am- 5 pm**This is a temporary assignment but can lead to a permanent position.Job Duties:

• Accounts Payable (3 way match of vendor invoices, Data entry of invoices, Processing ACH payments/Physical Checks and send remittances to vendors)
• Track Receiving - follow through to completion
• Track Invoice entry issues - follow through to completion
• Post sales invoices for accounts receivable
• Create Purchase Orders (or vouchers) for Monthly Expenses & Track monthly costing (Ex. Gas, Electric, Phone, Lowes Expenses, Vendor payment terms)
• Create Payment Proposals based on cash availability
• Maintains records of IT tagging
• Support all audit processes
• Audit the IT tagging physical items
• Support preparation for financial statements
• Generates reports of financial performance
• Additional tracking (Freight, Forklift leases & maintenance contracts, POs written, Scrap, Material Costing, Fastenal Costing)
• FilingEducation/Experience:
  • Preferred - Associate's degree/some college in Accounting or related field
  • Prior experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk , experience working in manufacturing setting strongly preferred
  • Experience working with ERP and using SAP
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Must possess excellent data entry skills
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to multitask
  • A working knowledge of bookkeeping procedure
