Job Description:
Maintenance Technician - HQReports To: Maintenance
SupervisorDirect Reports: NoneFLSA Status: Non-ExemptEmployment
Type: Full-TimePosition Overview: Responsible for maintenance
(preventative & repairs) on all plant equipment and occasionally
help with facility maintenance.Essential Job Functions: Performs
all tasks in a safe and OSHA approved manner wearing appropriate
PPE when necessary.Responsible for helping to foster and maintain a
safe work environment free from recognized hazards related to
equipment and surrounding areas to ensure compliance with all
applicable OSHA standards.Perform preventative maintenance and
repairs on all cutting and spreading equipment.Perform preventative
maintenance and repairs on all sewing machines.Perform preventative
maintenance and repairs on all other production pieces of equipment
(RF welders, heat fusing presses, hot air sealers, etc.).Record all
maintenance and repair services performed into NSA's online
Maintenance Log.Maintain a neat and orderly work area, and cleans
up thoroughly when completing a production repair or
request.Maintain neat and orderly spare parts cabinets and machine
manuals.Be part of a maintenance team that is constantly looking to
find ways for a sewer or sewing team to improve their efficiency.Be
involved in various machine and/or facility projects.Training:
Provided on the job and may be supplemented with external, local or
out-of-town training.Qualifications: ----------------------
Education & Certifications: High school diploma or GED
preferred---------------------- Experience: 2 years of
machine/equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment
preferred---------------------- Hobbies or passion involving cars
or fixing things preferredKey Competencies: Likes to build and fix
things, persistence (wants it done, but wants it done "right"),
positive attitude, dependable, analytical thinking, problem
solving, good communication skills, and functional computer skills
(email, PM logs/tracking and maintenance tracking)Physical
Requirements: Must be able to stand for duration of shift, manual
dexterity when working with industrial sewing machines of all
sizes, good vision (corrected vision is fine).Working Conditions:
Temperature-regulated plan environment, consistent background
