Registered Nurse (RN) Weekender - Telemetry - -Join Cleveland Clinic's Fairview Hospital where research and surgery are advanced, technology is leading-edge, patient care is world-class, and caregivers are family. Fairview Hospital's 5 Pavilion Med/Surg and Telemetry Unit has a dedicated team of caregivers that provide top-quality inpatient acute care to adults recovering from a wide variety of conditions, such as pneumonia, heart failure and chest pain, as well as monitor pre-operative and post-operative surgical patients. This unit prides themselves on teamwork and has been nominated for the Cleveland Clinic Nursing Team Excellence Award several times and won the award in 2015. - -This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic's Weekender Flex Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. Weekend shift options start at 7:00pm on Fridays and end at 7:30am on Mondays. While you are only working 36 hours a week, Cleveland Clinic will pay you for 44 hours of work and give you full-time status and benefits. This schedule allows caregivers to enjoy personal time during the week with family and friends and take care of any errands that will not interfere with a typical day shift schedule. - - - -A caregiver who excels in this role will: - -

• Provide direct nursing care. -
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. - -
    • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions. - -
      • Administer prescribed medications and treatments. -
        • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. - -
          • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. -
            • Educate patients and their families. - - -Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - -
              • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. - -
                • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). - -
                  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). -
                    • One-year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience. -Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: -

                        • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
                        • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
                        • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
                        • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
                        • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
                        • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
