Description Position Summary Supervises the decontamination, sterilization, storage, and limited distribution of patient care supplies and equipment. This includes the development of departmental policies, standard operating procedures, quality standards and workflows. Essential Functions Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients, customers & co-workers. Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management through building a strong team and supporting a learning culture. Allocates resources effectively and manages departmental budget. Supervises the decontamination, sterilization, storage, and limited distribution of patient care supplies and equipment. This includes the development of departmental policies, standard operating procedures, quality standards and workflows. Supervises the department's inventory control practices. Collects, monitors & maintains departmental statistics to ensure compliance with all accreditation, local, state, and federal regulations. Required For All Jobs Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
